I always used Eagle one all wheel cleaner which I like especially the newer formula sold now because it foams a little and sticks better so it can sit. I did get bored on weekend and took all four wheels off washed them really really well, used clay bar on all surfaces, polished with Klasse AIO, then put one coat of Klasse SG on them. Now the brake dust just about washes off with low pressure water. I do use my wheel brush to agitate some but that's all it takes for now. Even though it was almost a half day project I would recommend to anyone that you clay, polish, and seal the wheels once a year.

I'm going to try the P21S. However I think the BBS wheel design attract brake dust compared to my Rota Torques which I have no brake dust buildup issues.

Don't want to start a new thread so I'll just post here, but when you're using wheel wax, are you guys just using it on the outer part of the wheel and then buff it off or do you take the wheel off completley and wax the whole inside of it too?

I use Meguiar G9524 Hot RimsŪ All Wheel Cleaner. i attached a link from the Meguiars site. At first i was very skeptical, but all i had to to is make sure my wheels were dry, just spray the product on( completley drench the wheel. Let is sit for about 5 mins. Take a pressure washer and just spray it off. 99% of the stuff comes right off. I rarely use a wire brush to clean my rims. The spray does a pretty good job.

I use that also and P21S Gel. Have you had any problems with letting the Meguiars soak for 5 min becuase the instructions say don't let it sit for more than 15 seconds or something like that. I'm scared it might end up staining the rim or something after repeated use.

I wipe down my wheels every time i drive my car home and put it in the garage

When it is dirty from rain or something i use the Dupont Teflon cleaner, it IS completely safe for wheels, clearcoated, painted, forged...whatever, so when they get dirty that works, even though i really dont need it....lol

i went to kragens and looked at the hot rims cleaner and it says not to use it on anodized wheels. The bbs rims are anodized arent they?

All the cleaners you guys mention are good to remove the majority of the brake dust on the surface areas.

But to remove the tough speckles of brake dust that builds up in the corner of the wheels use the FINEST steel wool along with soap and water.

I believe I used #0000

It will make the surface smooth again and prevent it from caking it even more into the corners and will not scratch the wheel.
