Teflon is EXTREMELY toxic to the body and very readily absorbed. For me, my car is not worth cancer.

That’s what I tried and could not get it to work. I am going to have to use the oven clear to get it off for the first time. That will be the first and only time I use it. I will how ever take off the wheel to clean it, don’t want that stuff getting on the calipers.

If you're looking for a good brush...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...nce&n=15684181

...which is what I use, and it makes short work of the wheels. It's big enough, the bristles are soft and won't damage the finish, but long enough to clean the calipers.

Don't use Easy-off! It is extremely caustic - we used to use it to strip anodyzing. I have tried everything, including a gas pressure washer, and nothing comes close to P21S. Spray it on on a hot day, hose it off an hour later. Crud I couldn't grind off just washed away. P21s has a ph of zero; it "shimmies" under crud, rather than "eating" it. Freakin' amazing.

P21S does not have a pH of zero, that would make it as acidic as hydrochloric and sulfuric acid. P21S has a pH of 9.5 according to properautocare http://properautocare.com/whclco.html . That would make it a little basic instead of acidic. According to that site the safest wheel cleaner is Menzerna's Gel 7.5 Tire and Wheel Cleaner, which has a pH of 7.5, and P21S is a close second.

I clean my wheels every week, so they never get really dirty. Idk what the big fuss is?? Most of the time i just use a wet paper towel and it takes everything off??

Default Guru of clean

Go to the oracle: www.carcareonline.com

Larry knows all. In fact, after checking out his site and speaking with him, you won't trust a hand car wash or detail outfit again

His warehouse is close to where I live and he has seen and tested the best stuff on the market. With 35 years of car show experience he has practical advice on almost any appearance problem.

Wheels - recommends P21S, but what works best is lots of elbow greese - rinse and wash ad nauseam. When clean, wax wheels by hand.

Had a problem with some custom wheels a couple of weeks ago and frist all I got were questions: are the wheels uncoated, clear powder coated, clear anodized.........

I'll give P21S a shot. But the DuPont Teflon wheel cleaner I'm using now does a pretty damn good job. Spray it on, let it sit for a minute, take the brush to it, when it's mostly clean rinse with water and use the brush to get the spots that didn't come clean. Doesn't take long, very easy and not a pain.

I have been using the Teflon wheel cleaner and it still doesn't get the caked on break dust parts in the corners.

I just use a wash cloth after I'm donne washing the car and I have absolutely no trouble. I try not to let the dust build up tho, that's when it sticks.
