I have a friend (Screename: RAPTR) who tried it and it works well, however you can't clean the inner portion of the rim.

I think a pressure washer and the mothers powerball might be a good combo in the following order:

1. Hose the wheels.

2. Apply your favorite wheel cleaner. Let that sit for a while.

3. Hose off the wheels.

4. Use the powerball.

5. Apply wheel wax.

* Avoid washing the wheels after heavy brake usage or track event.

BTW, I just ordered some new wheel wax from autogeek, review comming soon.

I tried the powerball also and it is too stiff, both sizes. You can't get in all the nooks and crannies. Wast of money if you ask me, unless you have wheels with big openings like Foose's in the commercial.

Regarding wheel wax, it's no better than a good cleaner wax. I will stick to Klasse AIO and SG.

For the stock STi wheels (which I have) I use OXO teflon brushes, one of which is really long and slender and is able to get to the calipers and the inside rim. I try to do each wheel at a time.

At the end of the day, nothing replaces good elbow grease and hard work, but the results are worth it.

I bought some Wheel Wax and I love the stuff. Takes a bit of work but brake dust comes off alot easier now. Thanks again Peleg for the pointers the other day. I won "Best Import" at the car show. I'll post pics soon.

I've been looking for these but can't find the ones that you describing. Can you post a pick and perhaps recommendation where to get it? Is it this one?

That is one of their models, I believe there is a thinner one, I'll try to find that because it allows you to get into the innter rim, caliper etc.

I also have this one:

http://www.autogeek.net/erwheelbrus.html

which is great for the outer parts.

Which wheel cleaner do you use?

This one works well

I also use the hotrims spray. Works very well. It breaks up the brake dust without problems and the brush allows me to get all the spots the spray misses.

As long as it doesn't scratch the wheels, it will do.

I just got a 500 ml. (1/2 Liter) bottle of P21S from Autogeek

I bought a wheel and tire kit that came with some cleaners, dressings, and 2 OXO brushes on www.properautocare.com.

That's the one I was talking about:

http://www.properautocare.com/oxospwhbr.html

Easily gets in between the dust shield and the wheel.

I ordered P21S per your list on page one. In fact last light I went down your list and ordered most of it from Autopia-carcare. They had a nice starter package and I just added most of the missing componants. Here's the list

OXO - Meguiar's Wash Kit $54.99 1 $54.99
OXO Spoke Brush $7.99 1 $7.99
Meguiars ScratchX $7.99 1 $7.99
P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner $16.99 1 $16.99
Sonus Tire & Bumper Dressing Gel $9.99 1 $9.99
California Jelly Blade $19.99 1 $19.99
Stoner More Shine Less Time for Tires $5.79 1 $5.79
Subtotal: $123.73
Shipping: $12.95
10% savings: -$12.37
Total: $124.31

I aleady have NTX wax and will most likely replace it with the Klasse pair. I need to get the PC and do my wife's car, as the paint is in bad shape. One step at a time though, and I figured by the time I'm ready you'll have completed your write up motorized polishing.

I do have a few questions about P21S if you don't mind. I read that you are supposed to dilute it with hot water and put it a spray bottle. I got the jel as that was the only one I could find and it already comes in a spray bottle. Thoughts? Also do you know if it will strip off the wax? I'm currently testing NTX on one side of the car and WheelWax on the other. Hopefully P21S won't strip off my hard work.

I have never diluted P21S wheel cleaner. I am pretty sure any wheel cleaner will remove wax. Before I put either my summer or winter wheels on I clean them with P21S wheel cleaner and a brush. Then I put a coat of Klasse AIO on and at least 3 coats of Klasse SG, inside and out, waiting a day between each coat. During the season I don't, nor need to, use any harsh wheel cleaners to clean them, just the soap and water I used on the car. Plus I don't want to remove the protection I have on them with a wheel cleaner. My winter wheels go all winter without being washed and come spring, actually fall when I am ready to put them back on, they clean up very easily.

Has anyone used a boar's hair brush? How well do they work and are they worth what they cost?

Haven't heard or tried them, but if you do, feel free to share your experience.
