I know....I was like "dude, this is wax, you don't remove scratches with wax and you don't rub the paint with paper towels, especially when the paint wasn't prepped".

the response was: " be quiet, leave me alone.....you don't know everything....bla bla bla bla"

I was like OOOOOOOOOOOOOk.........f%%%%%%% hilarious.

Kinda sucks when you don't have all the tools/materials that you're used to work with.

Interior:

Vaccum interior and mats
Lexol leather cleaner
Lexol leather conditioner
Paper towels/water to clean the center console

Exterior:

Husky water pressure
Meguiar's gold class
Meguiar's mild claybar
Meguiar's # 7 Show Glaze
Meguiar's # 26
Stoner glass cleaner

That's all the old man has in his arsenal.

As I was getting ready to hose the car, I noticed him (my stubborn father that is) trying to "remove a scratch" from my mom's 98 Camry. The car has never been clayed and I don' recall when it was washed.

He decided to take Meguiar's # 26 and some paper towels...and scrub the scratch really hard.......I yelled at him but he didn't listen........it was almost funny in a way. Oh well, let the old man do whatever he wants.
Nice man. Thats basicaly what i have hah.

What kind of Polisher do you have?

it is all very simple once you have the right tools for the job.

if you were closer i would be willing to help you learn how to maintain a finish like the above, and it is very easy to do.

I once thought that "norcal" was actually close to oregon. Then I googlemapped it and found I am 6 hours from the border, and around 10 from portland haha. I appreciate the offer though.

I think I will just buy a new plastic gauge cluster cover; I have been driving around without it.... I believe I altered the chemical properties of the plastic permanently with the overspray. Thanks again.

Yup, I've done that with my Acura years ago and there's no shame in it.

They aren't expensive.....and easy to re-install.

Opps, misprint. It's actually the Pinnacle Carnauba wax.

I didn't spend $2,500 on the wax.

Peleg, what do you suggested for washing seats? My car is a DD 04 so stuff like sweat and dirt build up in the seats. I have used several cleaning agents on the front seats with good but not great success.. you can still see the seats are a little dingy. With my old car, I got a shop vac and essentially washed the seats and headliner with great success. Just seeing if I can do the same with the STI seats. I know with the airbags it can make it difficult/easy to screw things up. Figured I would get your opinion.
