Beautiful Brew.

I just wonder how can one own a GREAT car like a 98 Supra TT and drive it looking like that.

I would have pulled over and punch myself...

First of, wash this car and claybar the paint before anything. This will take off whatever is on the paint so you can start fresh. Meguiar's mild clay and Wolfgang clay lube should do the trick here.

After the car is clayed and dried, if you got swirl marks, a polisher and Mezerna intensive polish can take out swirls and scratches.

Then it is time for final polish to make her shine.

As for the sealant, I personally don't use it. I just go with good wax like Meguiar's #26.

If you still want the sealant, go to:

Paint Sealants like Klasse, Wolfang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Meguiar's or Wolfgang are good.

9 hours of fun yesterday......In all 4 years of owning this car, I personally think this was the most intense detail day I've ever put into it. EVERYTHING was catered for......

Default Quick exhaust detail

This is an easy way to make your exhaust tip like new again. You can do it after you wash the car or if you want a quick fun Saturday project.

Materials needed:

P21S Total auto wash.
Fine steel wool.
A good metal polish. If you don't have some, you can use final detailing polish.
An old rug or a mitt you won't be using on the paint.

A. Spray some P21S into the exhaust tip. Start rubbing the inside with the steel wool. This will take off all the carbon build up. Wash with some water. Repeat until all the carbon build up is gone.

B. Spray some P21S on the outside of the tip and let it sit for about a minute. Clean with the rug and wash off.

C. Apply some polish with another rug to the outside of the tip. Let that sit for about 2 minutes.

D. Buff off the polish.

Peleg,

I've run into some issues with windows. I use the Stoner's Invisible Glass spray. I've also tried the run of the mill Armor All window spray. There are certain dirty spots that do not come off.

I am curious if this is under the tinting of the windows (still factory tinting). Nothing seems to touch it. You can only see it when staring into the suns reflection.

Also, what type of tape do you use to detail? I need to use some when I polish and wax the roof.

Claybar and clay lube the windows, this will take off everything off the windows. They will be smooth like the paint afterwards.

Correct.

Do so when you wash the car and rinse the soap off.

My favorite is the Wolfgang clay/lube combo from autogeek.

I'm not an expert on tinting, but if you don't have aftermarket tinted windows, the claybar will take your windows to a new level if you use it correctly when washing the car.

The tape I use is 3M blue tape from the hardware store. This is to make cleaning the polish easier so it doesn't get into all the hard to reach areas.

Claying did in fact smooth out the windows dramatically...however, it did not take out the stained water spots in my rear window unfortunately...any other solutions you may possibly have?
