Thought I'd post up some pics after a few of my details, I'll put up my process when I have a little more time if anyone is interested.

some of you might know me from clubwrx, I started the detailing forum over there.

Looks pretty good redline. What products do you use?

PSuLemon, those wheels look so much easier to clean than the stockers. What is your choice in wheel cleaner?

I use meguiars hot wheels and then I claybarred the piss out of them, still not fully clean but its because some areas were hard to get to. But I usually spray on the wheel cleaner, let it sit for about a minutes, then scrub with a brush, then spray off and repeat in this case.

For abrasives applied via PC, I like Poorboys, specifically ssr1 and 2.5.
Lake pads of all different cuts
Poorboys nattys is a great wax to top it off.
Cobra microfiber, and waffle weave for drying.
use two buckets to wash, meguiars wash mit (have 2).
I use Zaino from time to time, I have had good results.
Megs 2.0 is a decent polish, scratch x and DC system.
Nevrdull metal polish.
simple green

theres a ton more, for wheels, trim, interior, glass, etc etc. one of these days ill post up my routine, i promise.

OK, new question. I have a friend with a PT cruiser (don't worry he is an older guy so its fits the profile ) and some guys bumped one of his mirrors. The casings are not painted so its more of the ABS color. When the guy hit him it left some white marks on them. I suggested claybaring to see if that would remove the paint, but I was wondering if there was anything else that would be better?

Also quick question, how do we determine how coarse or gentle a polish is. I am wondering if the meguiars # 7 glaze is finer and more gental than the Step 2 polish. Any way of find this out. I have tried to search online but didn't find anything. Or should I just call Meguiars?

What's the best way to polish all the creases and corners on the wrx/sti. Also what is the best way to evaluate how deep the swirls are to know whether to use a medium cut or light cut? Thanks.

You can polish in 2 ways: with a microfiber towel or with the polisher like the Porter 7424.

I like to apply the polish to a microfiber pad, let it haze and take it off with a towel. The polisher works great as well.

An easy way to evaluate the swirls is to run your fingernail on it, if you finger nail gets caught in the scratch, it's too deep.

Most swirls are into the clear coat, so you can use a polisher to take them off.
