What brand of tire shine do you use? I started using Stoner Tire Shine and never switch back.

Safe on the paint. You can easily do it after the car is dry.

I just ordered some of the new Pinnacle tire gel. They claim that if you let it dry for an hour before driving, it won't sling onto the paint at all and it doesn't look too shiny/greasy. It's kind of expensive though...just like all Pinnacle products.

I have used the foam applicator before and not noticed a difference. I'm just trying to understand why they say not to use a foam applicator. Like you said it has no cleaning ability so it wouldn't make a difference.

I have the Meguiars Gold Class High Endurance Tire Gel and I can put that on and drive off right away and it doesn't sling off onto the paint. I've never had a problem with it coming off onto the paint with any tire gel I've ever used, spray on products is a different story.

Stoner is $5.79/bottle and won't sling off the paint either.

You actually had me wondering about that also. I checked on properautocare.com where I buy stuff from and I did not see any mention of not using a foam applicator with Klasse. I did find where they sell a new type of foam applicator that they said they like to use with Klasse, so I don't know. I might even try one of them because it is larger then the round yellow ones I have now. With AIO I use a terrycloth pad but with SG I like the foam applicators.

Yes, I checked multiple sites and they did not mention not using a foam applicator. But http://autopia-carcare.com/inf-klasse.html is the only one to mention it.

I use a foam applicator w/ aio, works just as well as the other types.

So some of you guys are using foam for SG as well? I may have to try that. I've just been using the basic terry applicators for SG.

Yeah I use a terry cloth applicator for AIO and a microfiber applicator for SG but I just picked up some NXT polish/wax and inside was a foam applicator. I have never used one but just feeling it I was paranoid that it would scratch... I assume it doesn't but I have never used a foam applicator before always terry cloth. Anyone use anything besides the foam applictor for the NXT wax?

You shouldn't have issues w/ scratching from the applicator. As long as your paint is prepped and you don't have any dirt/debris on it you will be fine. If you want to use terry/mf there shouldn't be any issues either, NXT isn't much different than any other liquid wax. I've used the foam applicator w/ NXT and didn't have any issues. Once I tried the Klasse twins, I never went back to NXT...I have a whole bottle sitting in my basement. It just doesn't last as long.

I just got replies to my emails to properautocare.com and autopia.org . They say to use a microfiber or terry cloth applicator becuase the foam ones apply to much product.

Hi,
I have found that spreading Klasse Sealant Glaze with a foam applicator
applies too much product with makes the glaze harder to buff off.
Klasse
recommends and I prefer to use a Microfiber applicator pad. Wipe on in
broad
overlapping strokes. It should almost look like you are not putting any
product on the finish. The thinner the coat you apply, the easier it
will be
to buff off.

Hi Andre,
We recommend the microfiber as you need to apply the Klasse SG in a super thin film and the foam doesn't work as well.
