IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | Hey guys, I have a WRB WRX and I want to make it look extra shiney. I was wondering what the best wax is to get that amazing shine. I dont have a buffer or anything like that (if people still use those i dont know). So i am looking to kind of not put in that much effort either. I dont know if i can get that shine without putting in much effort though. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have seen some pictures of people's cars in here and they shine like none other so i thought i would ask you guys. G This ad is not endorsed by this member. The first time application of any good quality wax or sealent is going to take some time because you do need to claybar and prep the paint finish so that the product doesn't seal in any contaminants. But after you claybar and prep the paint adding coats is easy as applying the Zaino, letting it dry, and then removing it, which takes me about an hour all together. I probably still claybar my car every 6 months or so, or whenever it doesn't feel so baby soft and smooth, but again, the claybar process probably only takes me about 30 mins. |

However, it doesn't seem to last as long as other waxes I've used. Mothers gold or whatever never looked very good when I applied it. Maybe I did it wrong or something. zymol is good stuff, but expensive and a pain in the backside to put on. Also, your car is an 04 so it probably needs a good clay bar run. This takes some time to do, but you only have to do it every once in a while and it'll make the car look awesome. I've been sticking with the meguiars Nxt because it fits the amount of time I get to do things like wax the car. I guess its just how my lifestyle is right now.
