Have any of you guys tried Shining Monkey? This stuff is AMAZING. Ive tried every wax at AutoZone and WalMart, and that stuff dosent even come close to Shining Monkey. This stuff shines like Zaino.

If you want a sparkling car show finish do meguiers 3 stage system except trade out the stage 3 wax with meguiers next spray wax. MUCH easier to apply no need for "wax on" just spray a thin mist plus it dries much faster since a spray will not have wax chunks on your car that never dries.

I haven't tried yet I've thought about it, but after 2 coats of wheelwax, and using a sponge with soap the dust comes right off.

Yes, any wheel cleaner that isnt diluted WILL remove the wax coating.
I usually:
1.Wash
2.Claybar
3.Polish
4.Seal x2/3 w/Poorboys wheel sealant on my rims.
I maintain them with the same car wash soap I use on my car, but with a different mitt.

What is a really good rim sealer. I need something to block this breakdust, and crap like that.

For everyone with black cars, how long does your wax last? And what waxes do you use? I use nxt and I swear by the next car wash the wax protection is gone and my swirls are back.

definately do not use dawn
if you wanna get rid of old wax or buildup or something, spray all purpose cleaner (spray nine) onto the paint, then proceed to wash the car with the soap and mitt

i did this recently after all the salt was on it..then polished and waxed.

Dont just spray it on, dilute it first otherwise is worse than using dawn

I'm under the impression that if you have your wheels powdercoated (about $50 a wheel here in MT), the brake dust sprays off, with little or no effort. The gentleman who told me this runs the powdercoat shop and runs quite a few different cars/brakes setups, full race to show car. He swears it's the best way to go.

spray nine is automotive safe and does not have to be diluted, it was created just for this purpose..

You worked for Karl Benz?

Copied from About.com
Karl Benz was the German mechanical engineer who designed and in 1885 built the world's first practical automobile to be powered by an internal-combustion engine.
