Semi-related:

How do i get gum off my seat? My friend kindly left a nice chunk of it on the passenger seat, which i'm rather annoyed about. I've picked most of it off, but it's still there.

Any help would be appreciate, i'll probably lose sleep over it.

Peanut butter. And no, it doesn't damage the paint. And use the smooth kind, not the kind with nuts in it.

my grandma always used ice to get gum off of chairs, carpets, etc.

EDIT: to get gum off your car: goo-gone,wd-40,clay bar, goof off, dish washing soap, peanut butter, etc.

Ice didn't work for me, but I sprayed just a little of WD-40 over it and then wiped it with a towel and bingo, gum was gone. And let me say that the gum was pretty far into the seat, as we had tried several other methods on it before the WD-40 and they didn't work, and only made the problem worse. Thank goodness for this forum, because someone had suggested WD-40, and by golly it hit the spot.
