Default Zaino and clear bra

Anyone else use Zaino on a car with clear bra? I have Llumar film on 2 of my cars. It seems that Zaino (z2 pro more so than Z5) seems to cake up along the edge of the film. You can see a yellow line along the edge of the film (more noticeable on black car).

Anyone else have this problem? How do you get this stuff off?

I have used Zaino before but not over a clear bra. I currently use a combo of Klasse AIO and Sealant Glaze, followed with Pinnacle Souveran carnauba wax and get the same build up. I think it is unavoidable. Usually when I am done I use a soft bristle brush or edge of a towle to get as much out as I can.

I mean truley I have seen more people complain about wax buildup ect when its honestly their own fault. Dont cake the polish on, zaino is suppose to be applied in very thing coats. There should be no reason for caking/buildup if you are using zaino correctly. Take your time and get as close to the edge as possible, this is something that can and should have been prevented.

I'm curious. Which do you like better - Zaino or Klasse? Are the Klasse products less labor intensive than Zaino (or as my SO says, "in-sane no?") How do you like souveran? Is it worth paying for?

Thanks for the info. There wasn't really caking of wax on the edge of the clear bra - just a superthin line of polish on the edge of the clear bra. Actually, I used 1 ounce of Z5 and was able to finish one car and almost 75% of a midsized SUV. Next time, I'll just stay clear of the bra.

Well, I have not used Zaino and Klasse on the same vehicle to really compare it. Zaino I think works the best on black. My black car is not daily driven so I also can't compare how long it lasts. I really like Klasse because it lasts a long time, so I always used it on daily drivers. As far as labor intensive, they are about the same as any other complete detail process... clean, polish, protect. Klasse AIO is a cleaner wax but to really clean/polish the paint I use something else before it. On my STi I used Menzerna Final Polish II with my Porter Cable before I applied AIO. My STi was new so I did not use a cleaner. I did clay bar it though. You can also apply multiple coats of Klasse Sealant Glaze just like Zaino for a better shine. Souveran over Klasse really gives the paint a nice look. I have also heard good things about doing the same with P21S. Is Souveran worth the price? I don't know. It is the best true carnauba wax I have used so far. I am waiting to use it up before I try something else like P21S. I got a good deal on the Souveran which was why I bought it. Some say for the money P21S is good enough or just as good. The Wax Test really liked P21S.

zaino just introduced two improvements on current products:

z2 pro polish - replaces z2 polish
z8 grand finale spray seal - replaces z6 ultra gloss enhancement spray. actually, it doesn't replace. you can still get z6. they say z8 is so good (i.e., expensive) that it's for "special occassions".

(personally, i'd have a total psychotic collapse if i deliberately purchased a product knowing there's a better one available...i mean...i just can't take the voices again ["buy the better product you moron...don't be a cheap b*stard...you love spending 2 freaking days detailing your car...what's wrong with you"])

i'll let you know.

Hmmm, I have not used Zaino in a couple years now. Maybe I should try the new stuff on my STi. I used Zaino on my Supra but since I seldom drive it I have been just slapping a coat of Pinnacle Srv. carnauba on it in the spring and just dust and quick detail it the rest of the summer and keep it covered for extended periods of not driving it.

To answer your questions.
Yes, I use Zaino and Have the 3M clear bra and get that line if I go over the edge with polish.

you will have to avoid polishing/waxing the edge of the bra or if you have an Air Compressor with an air gun you can blow the line of polish off after it dries.

Yes, I also use Zaino and have a clear bra or two, LOL. It doesnt mater what wax you are using just watch for the edges of the product and you will be just fine.

If you did wax in the edges then take some rubbing alcohol and a micorfiber towel and gently clean the edges out and then rinse with water. Dont do it a hot surface and yes rubbing alcohol is safe on your paint.
