Default RE: hello

i am going to send my car to the car detailing shop hopefully next week. will the NXT work great to my pure white GDB (STi)? another question is, do i need to polish (with Meguiar's Step 1 and Step 2 polish) or claybar-ing is already enough.

FYI, my ride is 1 yr old, less swirl marks, regularly washed, i live away from the beach.

and also if you could, please show me the pictures of any WHITE (pure or aspen or pearl or metallic) car using NXT.

i thank you in advanced

I have used NXT and I have found that, while it does provide an excellent shine, in about a month, sometimes less, the wax is pretty much gone. Whereas I detailed my car using klasse all-in-one, followed by a coat of klasse sealant glaze, in january and after an ohio winter not washing the car once, I washed it last week and the finish was still smooth and looking good. In fact, it almost felt like it had a new coat of wax on it. I would definitely recommend klasse products.

Default RE: dont look good

thanks BoostJunkie for replying. i've been using Klasse, Zaino and PS21 altogether once i got my car from the dealer. yes it gives the shine / glossy look that most of us want. but do you think polishing the pure white paint is better idea for now because of the nature of white colour, after a while, will become yellowish. will Klasse re-whiten the paint again? i am not sure. thanks for replying anyway. i need more of your suggestions. keep replying.

Klasse Rocks!

I used it for poops and giggles on a beatup F150 that was fadded bad with no shine in certain areas (like the roof) and it actually brought a decent shine back to it. I used it regularly but my source closed and I never bothered looking for another one. Now I just use Meguiars professional products.

I agree with the NXT wearing out quick.

If you're looking for "rewhitening" try using some Meguiars #9 Pro swirl remover. Works great for taking out swirls and cleaning. I use it with just an Autozone cheapy 6" orbital and terry bonnet on light swirls. On deep scratches I use it with a rotary and a soft foam pad.

Default RE: Holes in carpet

Meguiars #80 is slightly more aggressive then the #9 Swirl Remover. I'll put it to you like this.....

If you are using an orbital or DA polisher, the #80 is a good choice for deeper scratches in the clear and removing swirls. If you're using a rotary I'd stick with the #9. The #80 works with a rotary just fine but the inexperienced might burn high spots or cause more swirls. I don't use the #80 because I use a rotary and the #9 is aggressive enough for a car that isn't even a year old.

I just noticed no one answered about the clay bar. Clay bar is for cleaning the paint, nothing to do with polishing. It gets tree sap, bugs, hard water spots, etc, out of your paint.

Guys I used a wax by "The Wax Shoppe-Super Glaze". It is clear so you don't get the white residue and it seems to give the car's color a depth to it. Just thought I'd share a positive experience. Leaves the finish very very smooth.

Super Glaze works really well actually, easy to use stuff. I still vote for zaino if you have the time and dont mind some effort, other than that sticking to NXT is a safe bet

This is what Klasse AIO followed by ONE coat of Meguiar's NXT did for my car:

I'm a BIG fan of Klasse products. Both the All in One(AIO) and their sealant wipe on and off like butter. NXT is also a nice way to finish your paint off as well.

I'm trying to find motivation to clay and wax my car this weekend, i'll try to take some pics if the weather permits OR if I even get the motivation to wash the car.

I am another fan of Klasse. I have been using it for a few years now. After a coat of AIO and a couple coats of the sealant glaze I usually put a few coats of a good carnauba wax on for added depth and shine. I don't do that all in one day, btw. I washed my car a week ago after it went all winter(few months) without being washed and it came out great. The finish is still smooth and it has a nice shine.

I have never heard of the stuff, but pics seldom do waxes or polishes justice. In certain light just about any finish can look good.
