| Junior STI Driver Feedback Score: 0 reviews | for the 3rd time ive found something very peculiar in my car, i have no idea what it is, and im starting to get worried. a few weeks ago, on the inside of my windshield, down by where the vin tag is, i found some small, clear hair like projections with small tan balls at the end of them, i passed a piece of cloth over them, and thought nothing of it, now a few days ago, i found the same little hairs, maybe 10 or 12 of them hanging out behind the sunvisor on the headliner, and today, i found a few more next to the map lights on the head liner. i have since cleaned these off as well, but im wondering what it could be? mold, perhaps? it has been really rainy/hot/humid/muggy lately, but this **** doesnt seem like mold, i know what mold looks like. i wish i had a picture of what i saw, maybe if they come back ill snap a few shots, but in the mean time, what could it be? anybody ever experience something similar? |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2009 | It sounds like to me it has something to do with the weather. Is it really hot and humid or muggy when you get into your car after its been sitting? |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2009 | Ya hopefully its not mold. Since it has happened 3 times it will most likely happen again (hopefully not though) but so if it does you should snap some pics and put them up. Couldnt really find anything on the internet about it either. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 | Sounds like mold. Do you dd your car? A member on nasioc was having similar problems; raining a lot, really wet and muggy, but his car had been sitting for around 3 months (he only drove it around the block once a week). He had mold on his seats and carpet. He ended up finding a leak/small puddle of water in his spare tire area. That's how the moisture got in. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2009 | You should search your car up and down for anything that could cause it. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2008 | +1 on that being mold/fungus inside your car......be careful because that stuff is bad for your health also, being close to it closed off inside the car is no good, check the internet for good ways to remove mold inside a car...good luck |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 | The easiest and most effective way of removing mold is with clorox. Just dab a little on a cloth and rub effected area. It will clean and prevent it from happening so regularly. I currently just had mold remediation done to my house, so I'm on top of the mold game make sure to stay on top of it or else it will get ALOT worse! |
