I plan on having my '08 for a long time so i just want to know for future reference: how would you recommend cleaning the suede seats on the new '08 STi? I'm just looking for opinions.

I don't know about yours, but mine came with Alcantara, not suede.

I protected mine with 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. Now just a bit of vacuuming and light brushing with a cloth or soft brush.

For stains, dilute soap and water is recommended; use Dreft (baby laundry detergent) diluted. For more intense cleaning there are some purpose made products on the market.

Do a search -- plenty of threads here and on the internet on how to clean Alcantara.

Just so you don't get flamed by some unscrupulous members of this forum, the seat material is made out of alcantara (the artificial suede material) and leather.
