Default STi door panels...

It seems the blue cloth pieces on my doors seem to need a cleaning. What kind of fabric/cloth cleaner has worked well for others?

I'm sure there are some specialist products out there for this but this is my ghetto DIY way of cleaning the upholstery.

Get a bucket of warm water, add some liquid soap to it (dish soap, shower soap, doesnt matter as long as it foams). Then agitate the water/soap solution in the bucket so that it's nice and foamy. Then with a damp cloth I put a blob of the foam only, not the water/soap solution, on the dirty area, some rubbing and the stain is usually gone.

The idea with using the foam only is that it doesn't wet anything. I still let it dry for an hour or so, then vaccumm and good as new.

Some professionals don't care for it, but a 10:1 solution of Woolite is a good, inexpensive all-purpose interior cleaner. In fact, some manufacturers specify it as the cleaner of choice for leather. However, since it contains detergents, a couple of caveats apply. First, you should be careful to dilute it as specified, and you should not let it soak in and remain on your interior surfaces. A wipe-down with a wetted cloth--and possibly extraction with a carpet/upholstery steam vac--will eliminate any ill effects from residue that might otherwise remain.

Griot's Garage also sells a multipurpose interior cleaner that I've found effective on everything inside my cars.
