IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | So I have quiet a bit of swirling on the hood and roof of my obp car. I don't have the time/money to invest in removing them. I was going to wash my car with ONR but wanted to wax it right after. I was thinking of instead, buying some sealant and then adding a layer of wax on top. Is it a bad idea to use sealant if my paint is not totally prepped (as in clayed and polished)? I just want the protection to last until I can get a proper detail treatment done to it. Thanks! IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Well I normally wash/clay/wax but my current garage doesn't have a hose. That is the reason I am actually using ONR. I have all my materials, I just didn't know if adding a sealant now would be worth it, when I would need some paint correction in a few months, vs just applying the nxt 2.0 wax I have. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Thanks Smoke! I think I will just try that. I just want the protection to last as the last time I zainoed the car it beaded water for about 5 months. I just wish the color popped in the sun light, like it does indoors or on a cloudy day. |

| STI Driver | Zaino is a great product but the sealants lack a depth and glow, often when I use Zaino I top it with a carnauba wax to give it a deeper look. I recently switched to Gloss It and use their Gloss Finish sealant and found it adds more to the finish than Zaino, depth and wetness without using a nuba on top, plus the application is much simpler! But like I said if you have swirls I would go with CG EZ creme glaze and top it with a nuba. What color is the car btw? |

Your process should looks something like this if your not doing machine polishing: Wash/dry Clay using a slick lube (Megs last touch 1:1 is perfect) Re-wash and dry Apply CG EZ creme and let cure (15mins) buff off Apply 2 thin coats of a carnauba paste | |
