Angry scratch on hvac panel

i had my short shifter installed today. sometime during the install, the installer scratched my hvac panel right below the right ac knob. its about 1.5" wide and it is not a cut nor is it a gash. its a scratch and thats it... i tried to buff it out with some wax to no avail... is there anyway to fix this or am i just sol?

Maybe something a little abrasive might blend it in?

Dude go to auto zone and buy 2000 grit sand paper, cut it into popsicle stick size strips.toss them in h20 [they should curl up] keep in glass/cup of h20, Get some pencils ,when the sand paper is curled/ ready improvise the sand paper pieces over the eraser side of pencils. sand it it out in rt to left visa versa motion over the line as if erasing .in which you actually are heehee.keep sand paper wet at all times while in use.

HOWEVER BE WARNED THAT A DIFFERENT PROBLEM WILL NOW START
What ever part of console you sand, now will turn black ,wiping grey off.
Thats why i sanded the entire console black.

Thats why its good no to be dependent on others to work on your car, learn to do it yourself to avoid this mess in the future. You are the one the blame in my opinion.

Its real easy to scratch that panel when taking it off. Sometimes the only way to do the job the way you want is to just do it yourself.

your opinion is like an a'hole, everyones got one. but still, you're entitle to it. the fact is that not everyone is a great mechanic like you are. and not everyone has that god given talent to fix cars like you can. if everyone could fix their own cars then there will be a lot of jobless mechanics out there. im asking for help on fixing this or to find a solution. not for you to point at me and blame me for something that someone else has done. thanks!

EDIT: banned already? LOL that was fast!!
