| Lurker | I was reading up on detailing the car, it was all fine until I read stuff like 4:1 cuts which gets me thinking what does it mean by that? I know its something like 4 water and 1 cleaning solution, but I was wondering how it is made by mixing the 2? How much water to add and how much cleaning solution to add? I know it might be hard to read but this is the best I can ask without confusing you with the rest of my horrible english skills. This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Platinum Member | It is a ratio. If you want a 4:1 cut of cleaner to water, pour 4 ounces of cleaner and 1 ounce of water into your container. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | If i understand correctly your asking how to mix ratios. Well not knowing your units, I will just give you an example. Yes, there are only 2 components, that is where your get one component:another component. Example: 4ml of a component: 1 ml of the other. or 4 ounces of a component: 1 ounces of the other. ^^ now plug in your units. Hope this helps! Matt |

| Lurker | Thank you all for all your replies, this is the first time I ever came across to even try to wash/detail my own cars myself instead of having shops to do it for me. Now just need to wait for the deal for an STi i am buying to go through and I am a happy camper x2! This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
