i have no problem taking it to a professional if it will come out right. i'm just scared that it wont. i've seen nothing but bad OEM resprays.

i don't know what the odds are of my paint having faded at all over this 1 year period. i want this to be done the best way possible but if that means having a couple panels not match, i'd rather just touch it up and have a couple chips that aren't 100%, ya know?

if anyone else has any ideas, let me know. thanks!
that is a very easy color to match. a GOOD shop will not have a problem. my satin white pearl sti was another story.....

Try a glaze polish with heavy fillers. Menzerna PO115 I hear is good. Phil at detailers domain sells it...

Menzerna Finishing Glaze PO 115C

$24 cant go wrong It might cover that up nicely

Welcome...Nice BTW...I actually own an MS3 too.

Get some touch up paint and fix it yourself but if insurance is going to pay for it have it done correctly by the dealer.

well... i don't mean to be rude at all but i keep hearing people recommending detailing products to fix this. these are chips through the paint. wax, sealant, polish, glaze isn't going to do anything to help this at this moment.

i've seen some pix of a guy that works for 'COLORALL' fix a scratched pearl white sti and it looked awesome. if i could find someone like that, i'm sure they could atleast make it look better. noone in my city seems to know anything about proffessional touch up work.

dude that is nothing lol... get a black car then complain.

i have a cig burn on my car, some weird drip marks that i cant get off (looks like melted/wet paint dried or something) and small hail dents on my hood. I have debated fixing them if i ever sell it, but little crap like that is a waste of money unless you are a sponsored show car or something where the looks actually affect your life in some way.

i understand what you mean. the problem is that it will get way worse if i don't do something about it. it will eventually start to rust. and it DOES effect my life. i paid 25k (390/mo) for this car and i definitely didn't want it to be egged, show car or not. i'm not talking about inevitable rock chips on the bumper/hood.

Theres a mark just like yours above the driver side back door handle. You wont even notice it after a while. Sorry to hear your car got hit.

man, that's devistating. it's not even that it's noticable so much as i don't want it to get any worse. it needs to be fixed, period. not sure if touch up is going to make it look worse or not...

only one word comes to mind when i see that picture. hater.

inevitable rock chips are way worse than that, as are many other things, like others said you can't even see it in the 2nd pic, are you going to get repaint every time you get a rock chip into the paint that could rust too? I just think you are being way too OCD
