Default Wax, not for looks, but for protection

I'm looking for a wax that lasts long and provides very good protection. I used to use NXT Tech Wax, but it evaporates down here in the Florida heat very quickly. I've been hearing a lot about the 2.0 version of the wax that lasts a lot longer and i'm ready to give it a shot. Before I run to wal-mart and pick up a bottle, i'd be interested in what others have to say.

I'm just looking for something that lasts long, and holds its protection well. It doesn't have to give a super-glossy look, but if it did that'd be a plus too.

Thanks!

Zaino is awesome. I've heard if you put enough coats, it's almost like having a clear bra. I believe it.

dont mess with those waxes, if you want a serious long lasting wax and with a killer shine as a bonus get collinite #845. water beds of the car for weeks with this stuff. its used on cars and the bottom of boats to protect them. it lasts up to 5 months.

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845

Not knocking the wax at all. I haven't tried it. It may be the best stuff on earth. I just found this funny:

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845 was formulated for the electric power industry to protect themselves against electrical fires and failure.

What does that even mean? Does a shiny car keep you safe from electrical fires and failure? If so, I'm good to go. Or are you supposed to apply directly to the circuit itself? Maybe you just lather it all over your body?

how hard is that collinite to buff off if you are doing it by hand?

I like NXT because it comes off so easy.

If you want long lasting go with a sealant not a wax. Sealant's are designed for durability while sacrificing minimal shine.
