air freshener sprayer

i just got the carall JDM air freshener sprayer, which is this

eBay Motors: JDM CAR AIR FRESHNERS SPRAY SQUASH MUSTANG WRX STI S13 (item 310037545786 end time Apr-08-08 18:41:48 PDT)

my question is if i sprayed this onto my 04 sti seats will it stain it in any way? or will it leave any type of oily residue on the seat or anything, i opened up the bottle to see the liquid and it basically looks like water to me, but better safe than sorry, so anyone with experience with this product have any input on it? thanks

I wouldn't spray it on your seats. I would opt for a light mist on the carpet.

Id try it on a small carpet surface first. It should be safe though air fresheners are meant to spray a mist over an area. I can't imagine them being sold if they left stains.

I would spray some on the carpet, under the front seats, near the vents. That way it would be circulated well and you won't have to spray any on the seats.
