| Junior STI Driver | Im really into detailing my car often and have recently been considering buying a foam gun. I really just want to know if the gun is worth the 60 bucks or not. Also does it require a pressure washer? Does it use up alot of soap? thanks This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Platinum Member | I bought one a few weeks ago and I have been using it ever since. I detail cars on the side for extra cash and the foam gun cuts a good chunk of time out of my normal wash routine. It has taken me 3 or 4 washes to get it down to where I wasn't using as much soap but it's not hard to figure out. I would recommend buying the kit that Phil has made up with the firehose nozzle, quick disconnects, and shutoff valve makes it easy to swap between soaping and rinsing. It also keeps you from having to use another bucket with clean soapy water. Now, I just use a bucket to clean the grime and old soap off of my Schmitt. It is in an investment but I have had no problem making the money back very quickly with anything I've bought from DD. |

Personally i use one that i meant for the pressure washer and i think it does a much better job. It has thicker foam that clings to the paint a lot longer. |

| Platinum Member | I use 2 settings really. I mix a 1:5 ratio of soap to water in the quart canister and when I am presoaking the car, I use it on the heaviest setting, E, so the foam sticks to the car a lot better, and when I am washing, I use the B setting so it is still nice and foamy but much more conservative on the soap. I also squirt a quarter-sized amount of car wash on my Schmitt before I start washing. I got 2 cars out of 1 quart the other day using it this way. |
