Default glue residue!

So I just debadged my 04 STI it looks much better but in the sun I can see light residue where the old subaru and wrx impreza badges were. I spent about 30 minutes trying to scrub it off with gue gone but it doesnt want to go away! any suggestions?

Goof Off. Buy it at Home Depot. It works better than anything.

Like Upncummr suggested. It sounds like you have gotten all the glue off by now. I think it's just the fact that your debadging a 4 year old car. There is probably a contrast between the paint that has seen the sun for years and the paint that had been covered up by adhesive/emblems for years. Clay bar it, use a little polishing compound (not aggressively) then a little hand glaze and some wax to protect all that work.

denatured alcohol. It comes in 1 quart cans for about $2.00 and it won't hurt the paint. This is what spray on bedliner companies use to remove overspray and it works great.

That is just the difference in paint color after owning the car with the badges on for so many years. Just clay, polish, wax and you should be good. That did the trick on my trunk. Also, overtime it will blend better..

yea i noticed that having the badge on for 2 years has made the paint under a slight shade different. Just clay/wax and it'll look good as new
