Default Alright, sure it's been asked before but I need some help...

I'm looking to do some detailing jobs on the side this coming summer for some extra cash on top of the job I already have. I work about 30 hours a week and honestly, I really do need some more cash to hold me over with stuff... SO, my question is what do I need to really get into the detailing business? I currently do pretty basic stuff, stereotypical wash and dry, quick spray detailer from Maguires, some waxing here and there. I really want to get good at this though, what kind of buffer would be best? What about clay? Sprays? Best brush for cleaning wheels? Anyways, I'm sorry if this has been asked 10,000 other times so I apologize in advance and I thank everyone in advance.

EDIT:Crap, there's a whole how to sticky, my bad.

Can a mod delete this thread?

Check out Autopia.org

If you want a really good idea of all the products used check out the Click & Brag section. Most detailers list there process and products. It's not going to be cheap.

wait, are you asking what kind of supplies you need? If you don't even know the first thing about it then i'd look for extra money somewhere else....

you need a lot more besides the basic supplies to get up and running (think a couple years to build a customer base).
