Default Washing micro fibers, bad for them?

I usually wash (in the washer/dryer) my micro fiber drying/waxing towels after each use. How bad is this for them? How often do you guys wash your micro fiber towels?

I wash mine in warm water with no detergent and no fabric softner then I dry them on the low heat setting. I have not had any issues with them as of yet but I tend to dry my car with the chamois.

I dry and wash my car with microfibers purchased from auto zone, been doing it since winter started, so far the car looks pristine. Can this become an issue?

if you consistently use them without washing them, dirt can build up on them and marr the paint.

I wash mine in the washer/dryer with a minimal amount of detergent. But I get a set from autozone, use them a half dozen times at most (with washes in between) then get a new set. I've noticed no problems.

I soak them in hot water to loosen the dirt then use an MF restore cleaner and work it in by hand in the sink then rinse using hot water. If I have time and the space I sometimes let them air dry, the come back nice and soft.

I haven't bought MF towels in a while (got like a 100 pack like 3 years ago when I repainted the RX-7 lol). So if they got grungy i just tossed em. But what ///M Power said is right on the money.

Ha! There's no such thing as being anal when discussing car detailing amongst car freaks.
