Default Adam's and Rejex : Perfect Together

I dedicated Sunday afternoon to my girl. I just invested a good chunk of money on detail products, microfiber towels, applicators, and storage bins. I washed her with dish soap, used PS21s on the rims (which I don't think really works that well). Then I used the Meguiar's clay bar and detail spray and clayed exterior (windows as well). I then used Adam's Polish and Adam's swirl and haze remover I mixed them 50/50. I had really great results with Adam's products, I just found the polish and swirl remover a little difficult to remove, but that was the only issue. I followed that up with a coat of Rejex. I know it's like 80% prep 20% wax, but Rejex is the slickest stuff I've used, I really liked it. I have used many other products from the stores as well as Zaino (expensive and more steps to achieve lesser results), but I really liked this routine and I think I'll keep it. It shines and has more shine than it ever has before. Everything was done by hand. i don't have pics because it was dark when I finished and rained the next day.

P21s is supposed to be a good wheel cleaner. If you are in need for a Porter Cable, i have one if you don't want to apply everything by hand.

yea... i had high expectations for p21s gel but just like you, it's just alright... not worth the price compared to other wheel cleaners that also require elbow grease.

P21S gel works really well on wheels that don't have much embedded brake dust. For the really nasty stuff I use Meguiars Wheel Brightener cut 4:1 with water. Gets off pretty much everything. I imagine at full strength it would take the paint right off

I really don't let my rims go a long time in between cleanings. I thought this time i would use the P21s gel, let it sit for 2 hours and power wash it off. I was very disapointed. I ended up going over everything again by hand with a cloth and some general cleaner/degreaser. I found that just using a soft, short handled brush and the soapy water i wash the car with worked much better, and I think that's the method I will use. I ish I didn't waste the money on the P21s gel. I bought the 500ml and the 1000ml refill.

Reek, thanks again for the decals. As for the porter cable, I had one a few years ago and the thing that I didn't really like was that it seemed to make more of a mess. Maybe I didn't know how to use it correctly, but it would "sling" material all over the car. I tried it a few times, didn't like it, and sold it last year on ebay. Maybe I'm a retard!

dan, that brightener is the ****? ill have to try it on my silvers.

and the p21s gel works wonders if used right, it sounds like you let it sit WAY too long.

It says to let it sit for two hours on the bottle.

lol i never read the bottle... i let it sit for like 5-10 minutes on mine... and nearly everything washed right off.

2 hours sounds a bit excessive.

I let P21S sit overnight sometimes if I have a customer's car for a day or on my own cars if I know that I have time to get on the car the next day I let the p21s sit overnight.

Then get some brushes the next day and rinse the wheels and agitate the dirt and you will be good to go.

hummm... i might let it sit overnight next time. btw, do you mix p21s with water? or do you straight up use full strength? I did 2 washes with p21s and man, it doesn't last that long..

No, it doesn't last long. Don't dilute it!

Indeed it is. For my car I use the P21S but I do some customer cars to make some extra cash on the side and sometimes the wheels are nasty so I use the Meguiars stuff. It's supposed to be for "professional" use only, but they sell it at Autogeek. You just have to make sure you dilute it and don't let it sit on the wheels for too long. With any wheel cleaner though, I've found a little scrubbing with a brush or sponge is necessary. The only stuff I've used that is truly spray on rinse off is acid and I wouldn't use that on any car I cared about.

You should do yourself a favor and pick up an EZ Detail brush as well. It works awesome for getting the inside of the wheels, fender liners, hard to reach spots in the engine compartment, etc. I just got one and I don't know how I detailed without it for so long.
