How do you like the flex? I use a Makita rotary for heavy correction and a PC 7424 for finishing but the PC vibrates like hell, makes my hands tired pretty quickly.

I have only used the Flex once and loved it. Very stable and the adjustable speed trigger is a great feature. The weight is very even and it keeps the pad flat on the paint surface. I think your setup using the Makita for correction and a PC for finishing is perfect. Lots of people use the PC for finishing polish after correction with the Makita. The Flex is the great middle gorund I think. I mean the correction power is there and the adjustable speed is good for finishing.

Default We have closed to the worst paint in the industry...MUST BE ZAINO!!!

They are slightly more expenisve, procedures are lengthy...but results are amazing.....even will turn a BLACK STI paint (worst of the worst) looking very shiny...

Zaino is also able to cover lots of imperfections found on Subaru paint....you can't go wrong with ZAINO

Klasse AIO and Klasse Sealant are also good...top it with a coat of Carunba afterwards...

If its just light stuff menzerna 106 on a white pad or if its heavier menzerna sip with an orange pad. If you use the orange follow with a white pad. Then protect it with your sealant or wax of choice. I love souveran on dark cars s100 on light/ silver and zainos ok.

This is an awesome list, exactly what I was looking for.

Can you please take this a step further and write examples of paint conditions and which polish you'd use on each condition.

Example: Light scratches that are into the clearcoat. I've used Meguiar's and Sonus, didn't get the results I wanted. No more fooling around. So which polish would you tackle this with, and which pad? (I'm assuming an orange pad)

Sure thing:

Power Gloss Compound -- 5 cut/1 gloss --- extremely bad paint swirls /scratches etc....need to level the clear to repair all the paint defects.

SIP(PO85RD 3.02 or PO83) 3.5 cut/3.5 gloss---removing swirls and light paint defects
IP -- 3.5 cut/3.5 gloss---removing swirls and light paint defects

106FF-----2.5 cut/5 gloss - final polish remove the haze from the intensive stage... finishing polish before glaze /wax /or sealant (great on metallics and light cars)
PO85RD ---1.5 cut/5 gloss- final polish remove the haze from the intensive stage... finishing polish before glaze /wax /or sealant (great on darker cars)

Depending on your scratches, I personally use Menzerna waxes SI and the nano polish. You can use either a white pad or an orange

I think you mean Menzerna Polishes, Super Intensive with an Orange Pad and 106ff or 106fa with a white pad.

Thank you Detailersdomain for those information.

I bought some SIP and P085RD for a black Mazda I have to do over the weekend. So far, I've used some Sonus SFX1 with a LC Orange bad and couldn't take out all the swirls.

We'll see.

Ok so ... HOLLY SWEET MOTHER OF GHANDI! I love menzerna SIP!

First pass removed most of the swirls and the shine is incredible. I had to maybe redo 3 panels of the car that were really "swirly" but I have ZERO holograms on the car. This stuff is amazing.

I bought some menzerna P085Q as well since this was done on a black car. I thought the merzerna SIP was bring out the color ... dear lord ... it's like I have a shinning mirror in the driveway right now. 2 neighboors actually came and see me to ask "what did you do to your car?" hehe.

Well, today i'm applying either P21s or Zaino. I'm not sure right now.

Cheers Detailersdomain
