i dont understand why people use cheap **** on such a nice car. If you spend the money on an sti, wrx, or anything u pay over 5,000 bucks for then suck it up and buy the best. Thats like buying a lambo and using non synthetic oil or putting in 87. WTF???

you want something safe, then buy an orbital buffer at Pepboys for like 30bucks. You have to try really hard to mess the paint up with one of these.

how many times are you actually going to use this machine? i would say once or twice per year unless you do detailing business. Trust me, i buy quality products but all polisher does is spin... I would rather buy quality pads and polish with that money

having a machine is worth it... you should be waxing your car at least once a month during the warm months, to keep the finish up.

Not true at all. If you are already experienced with using a machine, then a circular buffer will be fine... If not, you run quite the risk of hurting your paint using a circular. A random orbital is 100X safer.

My PC was only $110... I use it 20 times a year, worth every penny.

True if you are a professional. But if you're not, you're going to burn the paint so paying extra cash for a quality dual action buffer will pay off. Rotaries are notorious for burning car paint.

I bought the PC and love it. My 92 Miata's paint feels 10Xs better than my 05 STI. I've yet to detail my STI.

I've got that unit, but I'm using it as a sander for re-painting my SVX. It works great, actually.

However, I would get a random/dual orbit unit (instead of circular orbit) for waxing. Much safer. After watching how this thing will burn through paint to bare metal if I linger on spot for a half second too long, I wouldn't trust it with detailing stuff (unless you know how to use it correctly).
