either mask the area with 3m masking tape or polish around the area by hand.

Any specific detergent you guys use for the drying towel? I use this for the microfiber cloths:Micro-Restore Microfiber Detergent (1 Gallon)

ive recently purchased a PC. how can i go about polishing my car without leaving burn marks or buffer trails? i know if i set the PC too high it will obviously happen, what would be the best speed for polishing?

I doubt you will get buffer trails unless you are going to quick meaning your passes, or you have too little product on and you are dry buffing.

You will need to be at speed 5 or even 6.
