Default Revising the tune. What will say if it is right?

Hey guys I have a tune pretty much set but i would like to know what would tell me if I have too much boost, timing or too lean... I have logged and it doesn't pull timing so i guess thats good and AFRs are where i want them to be so the intake calibration is on. I am pushing the extremes a bit with my tune so i ordered a EGT gauge which should help me revise my tune. Beside keeping my EGTs bellow a certain Temp (would you guys say 1600 *F at cylinder 4 would be the max i want??) what other methods can i use to know my tune is somewhat safe and performing as desired? Thanks Guys I know tuning is kind of an art but there must be some base to that art...

In no particular order, some of the things to check are (and these are just off the top of my head without thinking) ....

Make sure dynamic advance never drops below your requested value in DA A.
Make sure your AFR is relatively solid at the AFR you desire (wideband O2 only!)
Verify your boost is what you want. Verify no extreme spiking.
Verify that your Long Term Fuel trims are between +/- 5% max.
Verify that you aren't exceeding 100% IDC.

Trying to keep EGTs below 1600F is going to be a very very tough challenge if your car is still using the stock exhaust manifold.

By the time i connect the Prosport EGT gauge i will have my Aftermarket headers on (they have the bung...)... It all seems like i'm in great shape then... except for the spiking in 4th and taller gears... I usually AutoX so it is a non issue at the moment but of course i'm working to kill this... That is 35 mph so its too slow to be spiking on me (giving I wouldn't really go WOT at that low RPM in such a high gear...) MY WGDC is around Low 40s and i'm still hitting 23 psi when my boost target is more like 21 (I want to shoot for 23 psi later on but after i have the TMIC). Can't keep that boost settled in the midrange... Turbo dynamics might help...? what should i try...

BTW I have a Prodrive Solenoid

Well I figured out the overboosting issue.... It seemes like the compressor inlet tube going into the prodrive solenoid got loosed... Because of this I was overboosting even when at low WGDC.. Now i have to set it to around 70 to even be close of hitting my boost target... That is great news and i know i feel really lucky that i didn't break anything...

Again Keywords for people searching: Overboosting solenoid prodrive and i think everything is already in the text...

CHECK Solenoid connections!!!
