Default Getting my StreetTuner map dynoed today at Harman Motive

***Edit: Results are in...see post #6 below***

I'm gonna head down to Harman Motive this afternoon to get my StreetTuner map dynoed today to see how it stacks up against all my prior dynos there. Below is my last dyno session there of Dan's protune:

My Harman Motive Protune

I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Yeah, I wish they were a bit closer than the current 35 miles to me too. I always head down on my lunch break, jump on the dyno, and then head right back to work as fast as I can. Without traffic, usually I make it in about 2 hours.

Its cool that you have such a good relationship with Harman. I can't wait to see how much power you are putting down.

Sweet, now we can see the accuracy of the road dyno and I can make the proper adjustments.

Ok, the results are in. Attached is a 4th gear plot of my StreetTuner map (blue) vs. Dan's protune map (red). Needless to say, I'm very happy with the results. Both tunes peak at about 18.5psi and taper to 14.5psi at redline. Looks like all I have to do is lean out the AFR in the upper RPMs to match the output of Dan's protune. Currently I'm at about 10.7 from 5500+ whereas he's at about 11.5:1 in this same RPM range. Other than that, our hp/trq curves are almost identical. Keep in mind that both plots were done on 95 octane fuel. Dan said he was quite impressed with my work which really made my day.

As always, big props to Dan at Harman Motive for being such a nice guy and helpful tuner. It's truly amazing how good he is when you consider that he only took about 1 hour to create his protune map, whereas I have spent the last several weeks creating and tweaking my map for slightly lessor results.

Good job looks like your tune actually makes more torque and power down low

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback. I just got through leaning out my upper RPMs from 10.7:1 to about 11.1:1 last night, so hopefully I'm making a bit more power up there now.

I am going to go with Harmons driving from Temecula to him.. unless someone can tell me there is someone with as good of a Rep closer? I want to take my (currently stock) 04 STI to Cobb Stage 2.

No, just looks like his tune's dyno run started a few hundred RPM sooner than the Protune.

Good job with your tune!
