Default Besides detonation, what other factors are invloved with the ECU 'pulling' timing?

Just like it says. I would love to know..

Misfire from running too rich. Fine learning based on altitude and environmental conditions. Temperature of air and coolant. To name a few.

Lol..I know i've talked to you about this..coolant doesnt reach over 183 ever. IAT never reaches above 55*(its been about 50 degrees out) Im at sea level always.

And no I still haven taken care of this USB thing with PLX, so I havent logged my AFR's. But through the stock sensors, it says im running 11.14 afr's.

Thanks crystal.

Isn't that as low as the 'stock sensors' read?

I dont have that up pipe rattle that everybody complains about..I do have cusco mounts which could potentially transmit road noise/energy to the engine...I dunno about that theory..I dont know how sensitive the stock knock sensor is.

The only thing I found was a power steering bracket that rubbed against the rack mount...but I fixed that and there is still a problem.

I realize this is hard to diagnose without a data log. I have to trade my PLX wideband for the USB version...that will be coming soon.

Thanks,
Steve

Ps. keep the comments coming.

Im probably outta my league here, but how do you know that its pulling timing without a datalog? And if you did a datalog why didnt you log the stock knock sensor? Or did you log it and get no knock activity but still pulled timing?

I have confirmed this problem over about 100 datalogs.

What I mean is...I have never logged(within streetTUNER) my AFR's through my PLX wideband because it isnt the USB version.

At about 5000rpm every single time..Actually...I think I have a few logs on this laptop that can confirm the problem.

I have to see if I brought my HASP key though...

Funny you say that because I am having the same problem with my car. I tune my timing and everything runs great and looks great ,next day same tune and gas and the car pulls 2d from the KC. Right now my timing is really low and the car seems to be runing OK.

From the knock correction table?

If you have negative values in the 1.9 load column, does that also correspond to the all loads above 1.9?
