Default Having a few issues with StreetTuner...

Everything works great in offline mode, but when I connect to the car to do live tuning with the regular Accessport cable and serial to usb adapter cable, things don't go very smooth. Below are a couple of issues I'm having:

1) Seems like everytime I activate the datalogging feature, the "ABS" light on my dash turns on and stays lit until I turn the car off. Also, the lowest green DCCD light starts blinking and also doesn't stop until I turn the car off. Anyone else experience this?

2) Sometimes when I'm in live tuning mode and attempt to load a map, the StreetTuner program suddenly crashes along with an error message. Any ideas?

I'm wondering if the problems above have anything to do with the archaic cable setup I'm using for my connection. That is, the original Cobb AP cable hooked up to a serial to usb adapter cable from Best Buy. Maybe I would have better luck with a Tactrix cable. What you guys using to connect?

Thanks in advance.

I think you're right La Mer. Since I bought the AP about 1 year ago, I'm already on my second Cobb Diagport cable since the first one broke, and it looks like my current one is about to go too.

I've never had that happen to me. But, I've never had a problem with using the AP cable with usb-db9 cable. Then again, I plan to getting the Tactrix soon, so I guess I aint got nothing to worry about.

Its your Serial to USB cable. You must get the EXACT right cable or it will not work right. Ask me how I know? I have been through 4+ cables. The right cable looks exactly like the converter cable on Innovates website. You can find this cable on EBAY (where I got all mine) but it must look EXACTLY the same (female -male plug wise and protocol..) I can get u a linky tomorrow. Its been a long day. But honestly the tactrix cable is a way easier solution not too mention its additional benefits.

Thanks Crystal, your information makes me feel a whole lot better knowing it's the cable that is the problem rather than my car or software. I'll be ordering the Tactrix soon.

Same thing happen to me once. I tried pulling the code with TARI but no code was detected. I reset the ECU with the ST and so far is working fine.
BTW this was with the stock AP cable.
