Default Logging Question

Curious what people do when logging on the street. Recently I have been tuing the logging on an off when making runs so not to have lots of rows that are sitting at idle or just light cruising before going WOT again vs just leaving it on. Just curious what others do. I know very non technical.

I used to do that but there is more to tuning just WOT. Daily driving is very important to me as I drive my car everyday so I want it to run as smooth as possible. Logging partial throttle can tell you how your car is doing in closed loop b/c you want good gas mileage and also knock is present everywhere and not just WOT. I have found that you are more likely to knock at partial throttle than WOT so you want to tune accordingly. Also partial throttle logs help with other things as well such as intake calibrations, AFR, etc. As soon as I really started getting into tuning, I have been logging my daily commute to work and back. If you dont want to see all the other values, just sort the table by TPS. To make it easier to read dont log parameters you dont need. As I said before, tuning an intake is one of the most fustrating things to do since it can probably never be 100% correct. To get the closest to it, you need a ton of data points for various MAF volts so you can get a nice average out of it. If your intake calibrations are off, then your AFR's will be off which can be very dangerous depending on which way it is going.

Yeah when I was going my intake calibration I was looking at every thing. Currently I am just tuning boost so I am mostly looking at WOT. Honestly it is easier to sort a table by TPS by time stamp then open 5 logs so I will probably go back to what you are talking about.

Live/cursor tracing is amazing for tuning the intake calibration after you get some numbers to start with through your logs. It makes it easier to drive and tune at the same time
