Default Where to start with map for the StreetTuner

I have finially made all of my purchases and am just waiting for all the parts to arrive. I am a little leary about how to approach the inital tuning of my car once the moddifications are done.

I am installing Helix 860s, Walbro 255, TXS FMIC and Shorty Intake, SMC Alky/INjection running 50/50, and a SBR 20g ported. Already have a Cobb catted DP and a Ti Cat back. Also have a Zeitronix ZT-2.

In the past when I did some of my own tuning it was using a UTEC on a Stage 4 WRX. There I had a stage 4 base map to start with so it made the first steps a little easier. Here I am not sure where to start, I.E. should I just start out with the Stage 2 map, the scale my injectors, do the MAF/Intake Calibration, then start looking and work in the order of boost, timing then fueling per WolfPlayers post?

I figure I will get the thing tunned at leat to the point were it is running well with out the Alky Injection, they turn it on and get the car more finied tuned after that.

Does this sound right?

cobb forum , nasioc, and here huh? most of us read all of the forums.

I'd start with stage 2. Do things in steps. Tune the intake first. Then install and tune the injectors. Then put on the turbo on. Tune boost (start low), then fuel and ignition. I'd then move the boost up and tweek the other parameters as you do until things are where you want them.

I'm not going to try to tune may car for power by myself. I plan to address all of the everyday drivability issues over an extended period of time. Then hand it over to a pro with a dyno to get the power out of it. A load dyno should also be used to tune the intake.

Yeah sorry about that, would not normally do that as I know it is annoying just trying to cover all the bases and get the most feedback possible.

I plan on eventually going to get it tunned, but I would like to do as much as I can myself. I did a bit on my 02 Stage even thought I started with the off the shelf stage 4 map. This will be a little more complicated but I am up to the challange. Plus the closet tuner is about 6 hours away. Most places are booked out a ways and my work schedule is such that it is hard to find a guaranteed time when I can take the time as unfortunatly if something comes up work will always have to come first.
