Default 2004 Sti Untuned Basemap with some goodies

YOU NEED TO TUNE A REAL TIME MAP TO RUN OVER THESE

THESE BASE MAPS ARE NOT SAFE TO RUN WITH OUT A REALTIME MAP.

These maps have the TPS fix done, the Boost Low Speed Multiplier changed, and have been rescaled.

There are 2 maps in the zip file.

1) 04-Sti-No Tune Base Rescaled TPS Fix BLSM=1.07_BLS=25mph.stb
With this map I have gotten a catless stock turbo car hitting target boost in 1st gear.

This map has:
Boost Low Speed Multiplier(BLSM) = 1.07
Boost Low speed(BLS) = 25 mph
Tables are rescaled to load 3.4
100% TPS Fix

2) 04-Sti-No Tune Base Rescaled TPS Fix BLSM=1.10_BLS=30mph.stb
With this map I have gotten a 20G on the stock exhaust to hit target boost in 1st Gear

This map has:
Boost Low Speed Multiplier(BLSM) = 1.10
Boost Low speed(BLS) = 30 mph
Tables are rescaled to load 3.4
100% TPS Fix

Have fun with them. I know I have.

Interesting. Does this mean that below 25mph (for the first one) that the boost target is multiplied by 1.07 (or WDC?)? Are these settings due for release in the ST software or did you get these custom from Cobb (e.g. we can't mess with the values ourselves)?

I had a protuner adjust the values. Street tuner does not have acess to them.
Yes it adjusts the WDC.

What is the TPS fix please? Why are these maps unsafe without a real time map?

The TPS fix. Both the Cobb and the stock map have the throttle plate start to close ~6800rpm. Because of that if you up the rev limit any the car will fall on it's face over 6800rpm. These maps have the TPSin vs. TPSout set so the throttle stays at 100% instead of closing.

With the 2004 Sti you run into a RAM limit on the Basemaps. Because of that you have to do most of your Fuel, boost and spark tuning in the realtime maps. The base maps I posted have all stock numbers in the tables but the load and RPM axis have been changed. So you need to tune a realtime map to run with the Base maps I posted. The maps I posted might run fine, but I would not chance it.

Is the speed referenced boost multiplier a hard cutoff? So anything below 25MPH is boost target multiplied by 1.07 and above 25 it's multiplied by 1.0?

I was kinda hoping there would be something that had say two or more speed values so the boost target would be scaled linearly as speed increased.

It is not the target it is the WGD.

For reference:

Stock 2004 Settings
BLSM= 0.93
BLS= 25mph

Cobb
BLSM= 1.00
BLS= 25mph

TMS,

I thought that the main Throttle Duty table takes care of this. On the 2005 STI is setup such that at 6900rpms the throttle duty cycle is at 100%. But, at 7000rpms the Throttle Duty Cycle is set to 25%. There is no "TPSin vs. TPSout" with regard to this table. It is RPMs vs. Pedal Effort. 100% Pedal Effort at 7000rpms will yield only 25% throttle. I changed mine to have 100% throttle at 7100rpms and then 5% throttle at 7200rpms (I still wanted built-in safety but wanted it set higher and more aggressive).

The headers of the columns are TPSin, the #'s in the table are TPSout.
Sorry if that was confusing. It is just the way I look at it, just a bit different than the way someone else may.
In regards to the safety of the stock map. I rev to 7500 and want the throttle to stay open all the way to the rev limit. I use the rev limit as my "saftey".
I also have a map with the table #'s equal to the column header #'s. I haven't tried yet, but I don't think I will like it.
