| Junior STI Driver | For you fellas now going into winter-like weather (40s and below), how are you tunign to adjust? or are you just letting the ecu make the necessary adjustments ? i would think that any tune that is safe for summer weather would be even safer for the cold winter air. I live in PA, can someone post their maps they have currently so I can compare mine? thanks This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Junior STI Driver | Only one word of advice. First though you are pretty much correct in that it's safer to go from a hot/summer tune to a winter tune without any adjustments. MY only piece of advice though would be to either detune it or easier just turn the boost down 2-3psi ... that way when summer comes you won't get depressed when you lose that extra cold weather power . |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2004 Trader Rating: (6) | IMHO, Summer is a good time for tuning timing. The hot weather will make the charge more detonation prone. Winter is a good time for tuning fuel/boost because the cool weather will make you run higher loads (more air) and the cooler air will allow you to use less duty cycle. t This ad is not endorsed by this member.
