TQ are you still running the helper spring?. Do you still like it? I am thinking about going this route until I get enough funds for a bigger turbo.
Thanks
Marcos

I have the 19lb spring in now and I noticed that my boost bounces around high in the rpms a little. I plan on going with the 11lb spring and a retune soon. Im sure that will cut the cheese.

I got rid of mine. Did I like it? Heck yea. Problem is - they break. I've broken 2 of them. I wasn't about to break a third. Thus, no more helper springs for me. You're probably thinking, "so what, just put on another spring". Unfortunately, it is not that simple. The tune needs to be based off the exact spring you are running. Yea, the home depot springs have the same rate. However, depending on how you bend it up, you can easily be 'off'.

At this point, a Prodrive, Perrin, or GM BCS is probably worth it. You'll have the ability to hold boost higher in the rpm range.

There is an alternative to installing a helper spring. You could do something like this ...

Hi Marcos,

Looks like you got good advice from Mr. Wolf.. I removed my helper spring mid summer because I was worried about it breaking.

Take care
