Default Anyone logging off of their LC-1?

Hey Guys,

I can connect to my LC-1 (though the XD-1) using the LM-programmer, but nothing else seems to communicate with it. I cannot even connect to the LC-1 w/ logworks either. It's getting to the point with the ST where I really want to see the AFR alongside the RPM. Anyone else having trouble or have a possible solution before for I start check things at the HW level.

I'm wondering if the logging using the HW lines and they are damaged, but the gnd, Rx, and Tx are ok allowing the LM Programmer comunication. Either that or I'm connecting to the XD-1 and not the LC-1...ugh.

Thanks,
Rob

LogWorks supplied on the CD DOES NOT WORK with the LC-1. They just released a BETA version of LogWorks this week that is suppose to work with the LC-1. So - if you are trying to use LogWorks and it isn't connecting then stop worrying It isn't suppose to.

I've been using mine through StreetTUNER and it works like a charm. Here is something I wrote in a PM to somebody ...

Quote:
The LC-1 has two mini-jacks ... one input and one for output. The input jack needs to have the loopback connector plugged into it. The output jack gets the special innovate serial cable plugged into it (the only cable in the box with a male minijack on one end and a serial port on the other). This cable then gets plugged into the serial port on the computer. Problem is ... the StreetTUNER is using that port. I used an "I/O Gear" serial to USB cable. You must install the serial to USB drivers first! I plug the innovate serial cable into my serial to USB adapter and then run the USB cable to a USB port on the laptop (well, actually my laptop only has one USB port so I have a little mini USB hub that plugs into the laptop and then I plug the HASP security key and the I/O gear cable into the mni hub).

Now the most forgotten part. You need to select the appropriate COM port for the LC-1 in StreetTUNER. Cobb does something stupid and will only show you the appropriate screen as long as you are NOT connected. Do not connect to the car. Go to the options and scroll the tabs and you'll see one for the LM-1 (Cobb doesn't differentiate between the LM-1 and LC-1 ... so, use the LM-1 tab). After selecting the appropriate COM port THEN connect to the vehicle. Make sure you choose to display the LM-1 AFR in either the dashboard or log.

Worked on the first try for me.

Thanks T,

After posting this Q, I had a little trouble shooting fun

I was talking with the EcuTek guys about logging external AFR's w/ the LC-1. They were asking me if I could connect with LogWorks and of course we can't as I have found out. Then I talked with the Innovate Crew and they confirmed that the RS232 protocol is different between the LM-1 and LC-1. I asked for their protocol, but for some reason he didn't like that...ops. I'm going to try and get the EcuTek guys up to speed, because for logging the DeltaDash is king. As far as the ST, external AFR logging was also not working. Then I found an updated dll on cobbs forums for the LM-1 and LC-1 of which I replaced the current dll in the plugins directory. Logging works like a charm now. Seems the LC-1's comm is a little fuzzy sometimes

You guys rock!
Rob
