Default Welcome!

Welcome!

I am sure that this forum will be very slow growing. However, over time, it will be a great little community. Given my interest in DIY custom tuning (explained later) I asked Ben for this sub forum so that the Street Tuner guys can have a place besides WRXForum for talking about custom tunes and for sharing maps. As of now, I'll be moderating this board but ALWAYS am willing to step down if others feel that someone else should be in this spot. FWIW, I use to own a 1990 Camaro before my STi. I had it running mid 11's naturally aspirated on the stock shortblock (which isn't easy for a car that started off as a TPI car). I wrote the premier article on the internet for how to program custom PROMs for these cars. I wrote several applications to help others through this tuning process. I wrote several other articles besides the tutorial. I moderated the premier PROM forum for those cars - which is to this day the most highly used/regarded DIY PROM forum on the internet. I stepped down because I sold my camaro and it wouldn't be fair to the community ... even given my knowledge about these cars which is immense. Here are some examples from the camaro world ... tons more if I wanted to post a neverending list ...

I also have done my best to help out this community while I have been here ...

Omori Gauge install:

Anyhow, I hope we can eventually work on some good stuff here. I am sure that it will be very slow going at first. But, eventually we should be able to have a very productive community.

Note that you need to be a donating member to upload attachments. I'll probably put something together that ALL of us can use whether you are a donating member or not.

Good luck and above all else, HAVE FUN. I'll post stuff as soon as I get my street tuner. The money is in the account and I'll be ordering the first or second week of May. Of course, I'll be using the LM1 too

I think this is a great idea. It should cut down on the 'noise'.
