Default Realtime or Re-flash

Hey everyone,

I'm sure this question has a simple answer but I just needed a little reassurance from those of you who have had the AP for a bit. I am wondering if with a stage 1 93oct tune, if I wanted to set up LC and FFS with the d/l map from cobb, do I have to "re-flash" the ecu again with test mode, or can I do it in "realtime." I tried doing it in realtime and it said that the feature was not enable even though I downloaded the map off Cobb's site. I really don't plan on using either of these very often if at all, but it's a neat feature and i just want to become more familiar with it until I go stg 2. So if someone could give me an answer to my noob question I'd appreciate it.

The only reason I ask is that I was under the impression that using "realtime," you can use different maps ie. economy mode/valet mode without having to do the "reflash."

Thanks,

Brandon

Default Re: Realtime or Re-flash

The code that is changed to allow those features is something that is changed during only a re-flash. This is what you must do to apply the launch control and flat foot shifting.

If you want the feature easily used in a "spot" I would recommend flashing the LC map and simply changing the settings so you don't have to drive with it all the time. Then when you need it you can simply set your RPM'S back where they need to be.
