Default SOLD: HSPN / IWSTI / Team RD #27 Race Car

It's a sad to say this but...

The HSPN / IWSTI / Team RD #27 Race Car is officially for sale.

We're working on 2 new project cars at HSPN and it's time to give up my baby to make other projects possible . This is without a doubt my favorite car of all time. I've driven some pretty ridiculous cars in past year -- an Ariel Atom, Ferrari F430, Porsche GT3 Cup Car, Lotus Exige Cup 240, etc. -- but I've yet to drive a car that's more fun or laps Buttonwillow faster than my beloved STI. It's really sad to even think about letting it go but that's life, right?

Most of you don't even need a "specs sheet" but for those of you that don't know about the car I've added a mod list below. The bottom line: this is the fastest stock turbo STI in the world and laps the race track faster than many STI's with almost double the horsepower. While it's not a "straight line" car at all, it's not hard to get to 60 in 3 and a half seconds and with some skill, it's not impossible to run high 11's either.

You can see a complete history (1100 posts) of the car by checking out the journal at: HSPN / IWSTI Race Car (OMG not again! See post 1109)

Dyno Graphs (click to enlarge):

Stage 2 Base Map (91): 280WHP / 300WTQ
Protune Map (110): 307WHP / 379WTQ

Also, here's the same graph with the Air/Fuel Ratio shown below it (click to enlarge):

Try not to just look at the peak numbers. The car makes nearly 300whp throughout the ENTIRE usable RPM range and drops only about 25whp at redline! There really is no "peak" at all.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The car is about 1 and a half years old and currently has only 9,000 miles on it. As you can probably tell from the list above, this car is equipped with over $20,000 in aftermarket parts, not including hundreds upon hundreds of hours in labor.

Many of the "wear" items on the vehicle will come BRAND NEW including a new set of Brake Man racing rotors, Brake Man #3 racing pads, Brake Man racing fluid, a Braille Battery, and Dunlop Super Sport Race R-Compound tires. The clutch, differentials, coilovers, engine, etc. are all in excellent condition. The car has seen its share of track time, but it's never been abused, never run off the track, never been in an accident, and never actually been raced. In fact, it's the only race car I've ever seen that has 4 coats of wax and a not a scratch on it...

In its current condition the car is meant for track use only. However, many of the stock parts will be included in the sale and could be reinstalled to make the car streetable. The car also comes with an AccessPort pro-tuned map for 91 octane gas so it doesn't NEED to be run on 110 octane (current map).

This thread is meant for serious buyers only. Please don't send me e-mails or PM's with offers unless you're actually interested in buying the car.

The lucky new owner of this one-of-a-kind STI will own a large piece of IWSTI and HSPN history and we really want to make sure that the car finds a good home so even if YOU aren't interested, please let other people know that the car is for sale. I'd really appreciate it!

If you're interested in the car and would like to make an offer please send me an e-mail at ben@iwsti.com. Asking price is $25,000 or best offer.

Quick update: A lot of people have been asking about inspection / registration. The car is already registered, has license plates, and doesn't require any kind of inspection besides a smog (like any car would). The stock exhaust is included in the price and the car will pass smog with it installed. That being said, YES you could drive the car on the street.

Wow, so unexpected! Are you open to parting anything out or just trying to sell as is?

Bump for a great track car. Does this mean we won't be seeing future install videos on the STI?

Quite the opposite . We have over 20 how-to install videos lined up for the STI in the next few months.
