IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (11) | More creative than I was expecting... ![]() Here's a picture of my '04 STi. Compare the mine vs. his (hint: THERE'S A PIECE OF TRIM ABOVE THE REAR WHEEL THAT MIND DOESN'T HAVE!). ![]() ![]() (If your ancient eyes can't make it out, click for a larger pic... )You could add this detail to your STi buying guide, if you want it more complete... |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | This is an 05, I owned a 04 I sold about a year ago... I was going to buy that 06 from your friend boondock, but she wanted way too much and ended up trading it in (wouldn't even fix the bumper at that price!), so I got this one out of farmington last week from the original owner Anyways, regarding the 05's, front diff is helical instead of suretrac in the 04s, wheels are 8" wide rather than 7.5", trim flare above the rear wheel wells, updated interior, stronger front hubs, different badging on the front doors, headlamps have black interior housings rather than chrome, rear sti badge has a black background vs. chrome.... many significant and not significant differences between 04 and 05 Last edited by overdose; 02-27-2008 at 02:45 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 Trader Rating: (6) | I am aware of the mechnical differences between the years. I can't tell them apart from the side. I was confused by the profile info and the post info. Cliff's Notes: I GET IT. Christ. Ask a simple question... |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I am very interested in your STi. I will be in the market for an '05 STi by the end of the week (Spring Break). Has this car every been raced, tracked, abused? Do you know the previous owner or how the car was driven? Any additional info would be great. Thx This ad is not endorsed by this member.
