IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | SOLD SOLD SOLD. Call me and idiot... but I cant figure out out to edit the title. There comes a time in a man's life when he has to figure out where his money should be going. For me, it should not be going into my 07 STI so I must sell it. I will be moving in a few months and need something a bit more practical in price as my cost of living will be going up. This car has never seen the track and never been launched. Honestly, I have just been too scared to do it. Driven between 10-40 miles per day to and from work in the Northern VA area. Interior is in excellent condition. Exterior is beautiful minus a few blimishes you would expect on a year old car. Over the past year I have had 3 dings professionally removed just to keep the car as pristine as possible. While I understand a car is worth more in stock form, I would prefer to keep this vehicle modified as the drive is far more pleasurable (smooth) with the current tune (stock 07 tune kind of stinks). 2007 OBP STI 17k miles (Stage 2 Protuned since 11k) Agile Automotive Protune (Agile Automotive Performance - Tuning, Fabrication, and Parts) 316whp/320 ftlbs Perrin 2 Piece Catted Downpipe Perrin Dual Tube Single Tip Exhaust APS 65mm CAI Walbro 255 Fuel Pump Cobb Accessport v2 30% Tint Black Headlights Grillcraft Grill Motul 5w-30 used. Stock exhaust/dp and airbox included. Asking $28,500. Please PM. Serious Inquiries only. Not currently willing to part out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More pictures and information available. IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Additional Description: The car has not had a single issue or repair done. The only time it has been back to the dealership was to get the reflash Subaru issued. I was actually not very happy at all with the results of it, so I took matters into my own hands, which is why the car is now protuned. I realized that due to emissions regulations, a protune is the only way to go. I had the first few oil changes performed by the dealer and then moved on to doing them myself. They wanted to charge me an insane fee for using a higher quality oil. I have performed all changes every 3000 miles since 5k and have used Motul 5w-30. I have not had a single drop burn yet. I have heard horror stories of dealers overfilling cars anyway. As far as the miles that are currently on the car... I purchased January 2007. Since then it has seen about 99% commuting miles. I live in the DC metropolitan area and commute between 5-20 miles to work each day. These are not city miles, mostly on a toll road running from Washington DC to the Dulles Airport in VA. I have never taken the car to a track. I have taken the car on three roadtrips... the longest being about 300 miles total, so nothing too big. To be honest, I would be 100% willing to bet there is not a single user on this board who drives their car easier than I do. I am not sure what it is, maybe the DC traffic, but my driving tendencies are that of an 80 year old man (minus the bad driving). This is not to say I am not familar with the capabilities of the car, but it has never been beaten on. I was reading through a thread on here discussing how often people drive wide open throttle and how hard people would rate their driving. I was amazed. Maybe I just fear breaking something... but I cant bring myself to treat an expensive car like that. Modifications: First I purchased a Cobb Accessport and flashed to "Stage 1" in which the car was completly stock except for the Accessport. For the 2007, it really did not add any power, but added alot of safety. Even after that, I still wanted the car to run smoother. At first I was just going to go with a Stage 1 protune, but I realized thats a waste of money since Stage 2 is also very safe. I ended up with the following after about 4000 miles of stage 1. I went with a basic stage 2 setup w/ protune at 11k miles. Basically stage 2 only requires an aftermarked downpipe, but I added the exhaust and intake for sound and the fuel pump for safety. After more hours than I would like to admit, I decided on the following: Cobb Accessport (www.cobbtuning.com) Perrin Dual Tube, Single Tip Catback (http://www.perrinperformance.com/products/show/219/Cat-Back-Exhaust-Dual-Tube-?category=6&model=2) Perrin 2 Piece Catted Downpipe (http://www.perrinperformance.com/products/show/212/Down-Pipe-Front-Section?category=6&model=2 and http://www.perrinperformance.com/products/show/300/Down-Pipe-Rear-Section?category=6&model=2) APS 65mm Cold Air Intake (http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/my01/hfa.htm) Walbro 255 Fuel Pump (http://www.machv.com/walhigflowfu.html) Protuned performed by Hill of Agile Automotive out of Fallston, MD. I am not sure if you are familar with tuners, but Agile is up there with the best and easily the best within driving distance of me. I actually live in the same town as MachV which is a Subaru tuner in Northern VA, but I drove 80 miles to have my car tuned by Hill. He is just that good and understands the 07 ecu better than anyone. I would have to check the dynograph I have, but I believe I eneded up with 312 whp, 322 tq. on 93 octane with the boost peaking right around 19psi. Just to ensure the motor was in excellent shape before the protune, I actually had a compression test performed. I have all of the stock parts aswell. As far as non power mods, I have not done much. Painted the headlights which made a world of a difference and looks great, and added a grillkit. I also sent part of the interior lighting to "Lightwerkz" which is a vendor on iwsti.com to have the color changed. With the headunit thats currently in the car, but entire center is red now, instead of having the green HVAC controls. I am sure there is something I am forgetting... so if there is anything else you would like to know, please dont hesitate to ask! I appreciate the interest and let me know what you think. It is actually dark, cold, foggy, and snowy in the DC area right now. Hopefully it clears up tomorrow, and I will snap some current pictures for you. Thanks, Jim Last edited by StylesJim; 02-25-2008 at 06:33 AM. |
