Join Date: Feb 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Re: 04 STAGE 2 psm STi, 29K miles $23,000 Ok ok here goes:  1- Disconnect battery and wait at least 15 minutes 2- Torx bolts on left and right of center section 3- Unplug airbag harness 4- Use packaging tape to cover over the "hump" around the center circle, and overlap on purpose 5- Stick edge of fresh razorblade in that "hump" to cut a perfect circle. Now the center is nicely masked for painting. 6- Scratch entire surface evenly with scotch brite 7- Clean with rubbing alcohol 8- Spray two 5-minute-spaced light and even coats of flat black spray paint, either Krylon Fuzion or Enamel is what I've had luck with. 9- (optional) If the finish is not what you hoped for after thorough drying, scotch brite again and recoat. However, piling up too much paint will only make the finish weaker.  |

Coast to coast is never more than $1K, and if the car is running it's less since it's easier to move around. I've seen people quoted about $450-750 for shipping, maybe someone who has had a car shipped can step in here? | |
