BTW I was not aware your time attack car had stock cams, I thought for sure it had aftermarket ones.

Not to worry , it’s shocking how many stock parts are used in our Silver Time Attack car.

Of the sixteen races we've won over the last year, 90% of them were with stock heads as well. That being said, mild porting of our Subaru heads is a beneficial upgrade while aggressive porting narrows the power band to much for any use other than drag racing.

Point well taken...

But don't you think we've won enough Time Attacks and set enough track records to back up our dyno numbers? You personally said we needed to back up our numbers at the track and we took your opinion to heart, and to the track

That wasn't a stab at you directly, more of a general statement. Dyno #'s dont mean a thing to me anymore.

I think your Time attack car is sick and agree that it is a proven car.

Crawford, off topic but winning is only half the car. It also has alot to do with the driver as well. Dont take this wrong you have just proven a great combination. However the majority of people are weekend warriors that daily drive thier cars.

Wow, you would never think some people here who say they own STi's actually own them.

Have more confidence in your car, or sell it I guess.

Tanner Foust would make a Geo Metro look like a sports car - driver has everything to do with it.

Thanks for the kind words

You are correct, the driver is a very inportant part of the equation.

As for weekend warriors, 98% of the cars we race against are "trailered to the track" race cars. We do not compete against street cars driven by weekend warriors. Our competitors are usually race cars owned by another performance shop.

Exactly, this why its important to clarify the performance of a "track car" vs a "street car" be well defined as both react very differently. All engine builders have thier difference in opinions. Mostly its just what they have experience with, and most times both engines will serve the duty requested. I personnaly have had great experiences with cams vs you may have not but you have obviously proven yours works. Maybe I'm off LOL.

Yea, of course it's cheaper and easier to soup up a Subra. You have a big V6 that makes more power easily.

I can see our cars costing more because of the extra cams, but we rev just as high as the EVO, and Im pretty sure we are up against about the same obstacles in getting that higher.

Ive heard soo many ppl throw around EVOs make more power easier, but I still cant see why it's true. Surely, them being cheaper and easier with cams isnt the only reason.,,

^ It is for many other reasons that i wont put in this thread to start another EVO vs STi thread.

Also evo = 2.0l = revs higher. Stock some people take their evos to 7800, try that with an sti for a long period of time.

Just to be politically correct, Supras had an inline-6 layout

Aside from displacement, it also had a bomb proof iron-cast block... that discussion is for another thread though.
