Default cosworth internals

does anyone know what is the maximum rpm of cosworth internals like piston, crankshaft and conrods. thanks

max rpm is determined more by heads.

The cosworth crankshaft is good for over 8500

pretty sure this car has a 9000rpm map also.

I talked to the owner of dynocomp about their car. It has the cosworth shortblock and heads. They have a 9500rpm redline but are safe going to 10,000rpm. That flat 4 at 9500 sounds awesome.

yea, but you have serious oiling problems once you go past 8k. But if you have enough money to buy a full cosworth long block then you should be able to scrounge up the cash for sump.

"Safe" is relative. In a race car, with seasonal rebuilds, maybe. OTOH, if they think it'll last for high miles on the street pulling those kind of revs, they're smoking rope.
