Question Cosworth

Any of you folks have had any experience with the Cosworth Short Block or Heads?

If only we have Cosworth's version of Ford Escort RS/2000 here, you'll have your question answered quite extensively. I'm just glad that they're doing some things for our platform.

They are fairly new to the subie engine market and there are not a whole lot of their blocks out there yet, but I've heard nothing but good things so far. There are a few over on the NASIOC board at close to 500whp, so we'll know more as they put on some miles. Personally, I'd like to know a little bit more about their pistons, but that info is hard to come by; in that regard, they're a little bit like Cobb. Secretive.

IMO they are the best, they just came out with an STI in the UK that has a built cosworth motor in it and cosworth heads, so if they're importing it it must be pretty good..

With stock turbo and IC but with tuning of course, how much hp would just the Cosworth heads add? I may go this route versus a larger turbo and IC.

Thanks

not sure about their shot blocks, but their signature big valve heads are best of the best built from scatch from I've learned. The ultimate 2.5L would be a Axis Stage 5 short block thats sleeved and matched with Cosworth big valve heads, I'm sure that combination can take whatever you can dish out. It will be expensive but that is the top of the line motor.

The flow of your stock heads is not your bottleneck, the turbo and IC are. Wait to do heads till you do an engine build...
