Default Going Forged! Need some help.

Ok, as the title says. This winter Im going to throw some forged pistons in my car so I can get some real use out of my 35r. Here are my questions, but before let me give you some insight on my plan. PLEASE READ. First I want to put stock bore pistons in, just want to pull the old ones out and put the new ones in and then put it back together. And while I have the engine out I need a clutch, the stocker wont even hold 1st gear after 4k rpm. 2nd and up are ok, but its a definate have too especially while the engine is out. Ok so here are my questions.

1. What brand pistons should I go with and why?

2. What all gaskets do I need to buy and extras for the install. From what I can think of, I will need the tgv's to the heads, the head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket. Thats all I can think of for gaskets. I will also need rod bearings too.

3. What clutch should I get? I want a stage 2, nothing higher. Unless you can convince me.

4. Do I need a flywheel? I've read that its a pointless mod?

5. Is there anything else I've left out? I do live in Germany and shipping takes a bit so I want to make sure I have a complete list before I make the purchase.

Thanks for any help!

Brett

how many miles are on your car??? from my understanding, it is not going to be as simple as just dropping pistons in. the block has to be machined. also, if u do clutch, depending on how hard u drive the car u might have to get a flywheel also.... just my point of view

Thanks for the insight. I think Im just going to wait until I get stationed back in the states. Then I will just buy a new shortblock. But for now, Im just going to do brakes and suspension and be happy with what I got now. Also Im still getting the new flywheels are pointless post everywhere I ask.

Agreed, don't put drop-in pistons without machining the block, most cases it's a bad idea..
