Definitely bad press for Crawford. Ever notice Crawford talks about winning races, it makes a person wonder if the quality control on his own engines for race is quite a bit different than the ones he sells... hence the problem here. Who knows what the issue is, but it seems that the "bobble head" effect is still to be resolved.

Crawford's silence on this other than something that can be interpreted as a sarcastic remark speaks volumes in itself.

The initial comment made was absolutely sincere. The fact that people want to twist it, should be cause for concern for those that are just simply reading this thread.

The customer (sti_speed) has yet to contact us to resolve any matter regarding this product. Everyone should understand that it’s very difficult to support any claims when no pictures or other helpful information (customer name, invoice #, Block ID etc.) is supplied.

As always, we are here to help. But it is extremely difficult to offer any when we are kept in the dark.

sti_speed , please call and/or email us.

Chris, here is what you wrote: "If you had a rod break in one of our S3L motors, please send it back for a free replacement."

If this has been misconstrued it's due to your poor wording. If one of your custom rods fails and takes out the motor, would you replace just the rod, or the whole motor? Your response leaves that unclear, and can be read either way.

If it's the latter (and I gotta believe it is), just say so and this thread dies right here.

Well, here is a great chance for Crawford to redeem themselves publicly. Be interesting to see what happens.

Ok, so Crawford is saying they are willing to take care of the problem as long as the O/P sends in proof, which at the moment seems like the O/P hasn't even gotten in contact with Crawford or the vendor he bought the block from. I'm all about giving feedback on vendors but if a person doesn't report the problem to the vendor then there is nothing the vendor can do. Every business is going to make a mistake but it's how businesses handle those mistakes that keeps that business in business. I'm locking the thread and am going to ask that the O/P contact the vendor to resolve this issue. If for some reason after providing substantial proof to the vendor your issue isn't resolved then you have the ability to post in the Review Vendors forum.
